Whilst Risk management already had in place a security management solution it was found to be both unreliable and technically inefficient in providing patrol timing verification. Reporting weekly information back to clients about when and where officers attended was time-consuming and costly.

The Solution

SmartTask Attend the Mobile Security Guard Patrol app was chosen for a trial with its key holding and alarm response officers as it met the criteria for tracking and logging time at locations and checkpoints as well as giving real-time reporting alongside a secure customer portal which enables customers to see in real-time which actions have been taken. Alongside meeting the criteria, SmartTask Attend Security & Mobile Security Guard includes the ability to program location tags with the relevant risk assessment information safely and confidentially while allowing visiting officers immediate access to the information.

The Benefits

During the initial trial, Risk Management found that the system allowed more flexibility with the patrol points themselves and could provide additional information for the patrol officer regarding site details, risk assessments and other important site notes. The customer portal also enabled their customers to see their own reports without any interaction from control centre staff, significantly reducing the need to report manually. In addition, the use of the phone/patrol device which combined two devices into one was found to be more cost-effective and easier to manage than their existing solutions.
