USES SMARTTASK WORKFORCE MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE TO IMPROVE
SERVICE DELIVERY AND BOOST BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Eboracum UK, a York-based security specialist, has rolled-out workforce management tool SmartTask across its mobile and onsite teams to enhance the company’s patrol monitoring and electronic reporting capabilities. The software solution is already helping to improve service delivery and reduce administration, while contributing to new business wins.
A team of 40 security officers and facilities support assistants are now using SmartTask, installed on a smartphone, to track service delivery and streamline operational procedures. The software was originally adopted following a successful trial to provide patrol monitoring for Eboracum UK’s manned guarding and alarm response services, with security officers simply having to swipe unique tags at key locations to capture attendance, time, date, GPS and status information.
The solution has since been expanded to include advanced SmartForms functionality, with Eboracum UK able to create bespoke forms based on the exact needs of customers and the business. The company has configured the SmartForms for a range of uses such as incident reporting, inspections, audits and requests, with around 20 created to date. Employees can quickly complete and submit an electronic form, so Eboracum UK has been able to replace existing manual, paper-based processes to save both time and money.

During a competitive tender for Vangarde Shopping Park, Eboracum UK was able to use SmartTask to differentiate its service offering as well as demonstrate its commitment to investing in the latest technological innovations. As a result, the company was able to secure a contract – covering all security, cleaning and grounds maintenance requirements at the leading retail destination. SmartTask is being used to capture proof of work, record incidents and monitor the well-being of the onsite team responsible for public areas, car parks, bin stores and service yard.
